What do you mean when you say HEST Microwave Hydroware Cookware™ is the healthy way to microwave cook?

All of our cookware pieces are free of hazardous materials, including: BPA, aluminum, Teflon™, nanomaterials, and nanoparticles. HEST Microwave Hydroware Cookware™ is also 100-percent free of harmful toxins, including dioxins, furans, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), formaldehyde, chlorines, and fluoride.

Do I need to buy special dishware or cookware to use with my HEST Microwave Hydroware Cookware™?

No! That’s another advantage of this innovative and versatile cookware. It works with the microwave-safe plasticware, glassware, and cookware that you currently have and use.

Why can’t I just use a dampened paper towel to cover food in order to retain moisture?

Using paper towels in a microwave oven is not recommended for both safety and health reasons. Paper towels are often made from recycled materials that may contain tiny metal fragments from staples or paper clips, which can cause electrical arcing and explosions that can damage your microwave oven and possibly harm you and your family members.

In addition, paper towels dampened with tap water, which may contain chlorines and fluoride, put those toxins in direct contact with food in the microwave. However, tap water used in the HEST Microwave Hydroware Cookware Base reservoir doesn’t come in direct contact with food and the resulting vaporized water is actually distilled and harmless.

A second reason not to use paper towels in the microwave is because most paper towel manufactures do not recommend using paper towels in the microwave because of the way paper towels are manufactured with harsh bleaching chemicals that can be toxic.

Can I use HEST Microwave Hydroware Cookware™ to cook or reheat more than one dish at a time?

Absolutely! Using the optional Stacker, which is sold separately from the Base and clear Lid, you can place two plates or microwavable containers in your microwave and cook or reheat them either with or without using the clear Lid.

Can I reheat food in take-out containers using my HEST Microwave Hydroware Cookware™?

Please don’t! Take-out containers, like paper towels, plastic wrap, and some other microwave cookware, may contain harmful toxins, including dioxins, furans, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), formaldehyde, chlorines, and fluoride. Instead, place your take-out food or leftovers on a microwave-safe dish and reheat using our cookware, which is 100-percent free of harmful toxins.

Take-out containers made of Styrofoam can give off some very dangerous fumes that can leach into your food as well as get into the air you and your family breath.

What if I have a large food item or dish that won’t fit under the clear Lid?

To cook large food items or dishes that don’t fit under the clear Lid, you can simply use the Base alone or the Stacker and the Base, to hydrate the entire cooking cavity of the microwave oven.

Can I use the HEST Microwave Hydroware Cookware™ clear Lid by itself to cover other dishware I use in the microwave?

Yes! Used separately, the clear Lid protects your microwave oven from messy food splatters.
